Homily given at the 11:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, April 29, 2018, the 5th Sunday of Easter, by Fr. Ed Fride, Pastor, Christ the King Catholic Church. In today's Gospel, Jesus invites us to be fruitful. The first time that God told us to be fruitful was in the Book of Genesis when the very first command that God gave to Adam and Eve was "Be fruitful and multiply." The encyclical Humanae Vitae teaches us how to respond to the Church's call to fidelity concerning marriage and family life.
