Homily given at the 11:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday, August 4, 2013, the 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time, by Dcn. Paul Donnelly, newly-ordained transitional deacon of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal. We may be materially rich, but we are all poor, completely dependent on God. Dcn. Paul asks, Are we content to be poor? Do we live in a way that shows others that our life does not consist in possessions, but that our hope is in God alone?
