Homily given at the 4:30 p.m. Mass on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, the Vigil of the Solemnity of Mary, the Mother of God, by Dcn. Lou Russello, Christ the King Catholic Church. The Gospel, Luke 2:16-21, recounts the shepherds coming to adore the newborn Jesus and then making known what they had seen and heard. Dcn. Lou reminds us that we are called to share the "Good News" of the Gospel as the shepherds did and offers suggestions on strengthening ourselves to be "transforming witnesses" in our society.
