Homily given at the 8:45 a.m. Mass on Sunday, December 27, 2015, The Feast of the Holy Family, by Dcn. John Ozog, Christ the King Catholic Church. Dcn. John reminds us that the family is an intermediate institution between individuals and society, and nothing can completely take its place. He relates to an experience he and his wife, Kathy had with John Paul II during a private audience in the Pope's library, that changed his prayer life. We are capable of loving those who not love us in return. Grace makes us capable of heroic, virtuous mercy.

Key words: Family Life, Prayer, Merciful Love
