Homily given at the 11:30 Mass on Sunday, February 17, 2013, the First Sunday of Lent, by Fr. Pat Egan. Fr. Pat reflects on the Gospel temptations of Christ and how they apply to our lives, noting that prayer is nurtured in the School of Silence. He urges us to use this Lent to face down our demons--especially noise, busyness, and selfish individualism--in the strength of God.
