Homily given at the 8:45 a.m.
Mass on Sunday, May 12, 2013, the Solemnity of the Ascension and
Mother's Day, by Dcn. Greg VandeVoorde, Christ the King Catholic
Church. Dcn. Greg VandeVoorde speaks of the joy that we can have as
disciples of the Lord. Just as the Blessed Virgin Mary, like a good
mother, encouraged the disciples to be joyful in living out their
faith, so our Mother the Church encourages us to remember the
Lord's promises and commands and to joyfully live out our faith.
