Homily given at the 4:30 p.m. Mass on Saturday, May 3, 2014, the 3rd Sunday of Easter, by Fr. Richard Lobert, chaplain at Fr. Gabriel Richard High School in Ann Arbor. Fr. Lobert, drawing inspiration from Pope Francis' Easter Vigil homily, invites each of us to remember our "Emmaus" moment, when the Scripture was first broken open for us and our hearts burned within us with love for God and others.
