Homily given at the 11:00am Mass on Sunday, September 10, 2017, by Dcn. Dan Foley, Christ the King Catholic Church. Referencing today's first reading (Ezekiel 33:7-9), Dcn. Dan notes that government officials are taking seriously their responsibility to warn the people of Florida about the danger from Hurricane Irma. If that is true for physical danger, how much more should we love people enough to warn them about eternal danger to their souls? Yet we need to love and accept people first before they can hear and receive the truth.
