Homily given at the 7:00 p.m. Life Teen Mass on Sunday, May 6, 2012, the Fifth Sunday of Easter, by Fr. Ed Fride, Pastor, Christ the King Catholic Church. Fr. Ed preaches on the Gospel of the day, John 15:1-8, in which Jesus tells his disciples, "I am the Vine, you are the branches." We are called to bear fruit, which is only possible if we are fed by the sweet sap of the Vine. He invites us to compare our lives to the post-Pentecost apostles and see where we need more of the Spirit in order to bear the fruit Jesus intends for us. Keyword: Pentecost |
