Homily given at the 11:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday, May 13, 2012, the Sixth Sunday of Easter, by Dcn. Dan Foley, Christ the King Catholic Church. Dcn. Dan speaks about the meeting of Cornelius and Peter as a turning point in human history when the saving grace of God is extended to the entire human race. This encounter with the living God should bear in each of us the fruit of the personal love of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. One of the best concrete examples of this self-sacrificing love of Christ is the love of a mother. We are all called to this same self-sacrificing love, which should draw others to Christ. Key words: love, mothers, evangelization |
