The seventh and final talk in the Christ the King Member Class, given on Sunday, October 26, 2014, by Barbara Morgan, Director of Religious Education, Christ the King Catholic Church. Barbara speaks about the vision for the parish, drawing on some of the parish's history to illustrate her points. Dcn. Larry Randolph introduces the talk and gives some brief closing remarks. The Christ the King Member Classes are a series of talks for members of the parish discussing what is expected of parishioners. These classes are open to all parishioners, but especially those who have joined the parish in the last several years. Homily given at the 7:30 p.m. Mass on Monday, December 8, 2014, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, by Fr. Ed Fride, Pastor, Christ the King Catholic Church. We celebrate today the historical event of Mary's conception free from the stain of original sin. We can turn to the Lady to assist us by her prayer and example, so that we can all grow in holiness. Homily given at the 11:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday, December 7, 2014, the Second Sunday of Advent, by Fr. Ed Fride, Pastor, Christ the King Catholic Church. Advent is a time to prepare for more of Jesus, when, as St. John the Baptist says, "He must increase and I must decrease."
