The first talk in the Life in the Spirit Seminar, given by Jack Lynch on Monday, February 9, 2015, at Christ the King Catholic Church as part of the Upper Room Ministry. Jack introduces the Life in the Spirit Seminar, Jack introduces the Life in the Spirit Seminar, presents an overview of prayer for a new Pentecost from popes of the last 50 years, and describes how it relates to God’s love for us. Homily given at the 4:30 p.m. Mass on Saturday, February 7, 2015, the Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time and World Marriage Day, by Fr. Ed Fride, Pastor, Christ the King Catholic Church. Many people, like Job in the first reading, face serious challenges. When we hit those difficult times, we must choose to turn to God, learn the Church's teaching, and seek God for the power to live it out.
