Sunday, October 27 Brad Schmidt presented on the Communion of Saints as the Church Semester progressed. Before the small groups met, he talked about the Church Militant, the Church Suffering and the Church Triumphant and how they're related. After the small group discussions, we talked about Mary as the ultimate Saint, and Mother of the Church. Erin Jobst shared a testimony of Mary's intervention in her life at the end. |

October 13, 2013 was our first "Issue Night" of the year. Issue nights take a break from our semester curriculum to address a topic that is pressing in the lives of the teens. This night focused on the basics of the dignity of the human person, particularly in how we relate to one another. This talk was given by Mary Zahm, Bethany Bonenfant and Melisa Carnacchi. Following the talk, the teens broke into their small groups to explore the dignity of the human person in Sacred Scripture and discuss how it applies to their lives right now. |
