She was introduced by Dr. Mary Healy, who also led a short time of prayer at the end in response to questions that Sr. Ann asked us to take to prayer. Though it was rooted in suffering, physical, emotional, and spiritual suffering, Dan goes on to explain how God used all of this suffering for his salvation.

Brad Schmidt gave a talk to parents of 6th - 12th Grade students about the importance of talking to their kids about pornography, masturbation and sexual purity.  The talk included reasons why it's so vital, particularly early on, as well as resources and tips for how to have those conversations and recommendations for filtering and accountability solutions.

In January 2014, Christ the King conducted a Member Engagement Survey with the help of the Gallup organization. On Monday evening, March 3, 2014, Albert Winseman spoke at an all-parish meeting at Christ the King to discuss the process and present the results.

Albert Winseman is Gallup's Principal Consultant for faith-based organizations. He consults with congregations and parishes, denominations, dioceses, and religious organizations across the country, helping them put the power of engagement to work to improve their effectiveness. Winseman is author of Growing an Engaged Church and a co-author of Living Your Strengths, both available through Gallup Press. He lives in Omaha, Nebraska, where he also serves as pastor of a small Methodist church.

On January 30, 2013, Brad Schmidt gave a presentation to parents of 6-12 grade students about the issue of sexual purity among teens, and how parents can better equip their sons and daughters to deal with temptation in a healthy way. This is an updated version of the talk originally given in May of 2011.
