Homily given at the noon Mass on Friday, November 1, 2013, the Solemnity of All Saints, by Fr. Ed Fride, Pastor, Christ the King Catholic Church. The lives of the saints, both here on earth and in Heaven, were filled with the love, joy and peace of the Holy Spirit because they pursued Jesus with all their hearts. Serving those in need is built into the Jewish and Christian understanding of how God would have us relate to others. It's also reflected in the 11th principle of the Christ the King Mission Statement. (For Fr. Ed's reflections on the Parish Mission Statement, go to www.ctkcc.net.) Key words: service, mission |
