Homily given at the 8:45 a.m. Mass on Sunday, August 23, 2015, the 21st Sunday in Ordinary Time, by Dcn. Gerry Holowicki, Christ the King Catholic Church. Dcn. Gerry reminds us that God has a wonderful plan for blessing our marriages and families, but we must heed His instructions in order to fully open our hearts to this plan. He says that we must have the same commitment and fidelity to the Lord as Joshua did, stemming from our knowledge of who Jesus is and our relationship with Him. |

Homily given at the 4:30 p.m. Mass on Saturday, August 22, 2015, the vigil of the 21st Sunday in Ordinary Time, by Dcn. Larry Randolph, Christ the King Catholic Church. Dcn. Larry talks about the issues in our society today, and the fact that our children are under such pressure to conform to these social standards formed by our culture. He says that we need to prepare our kids by making the grounded in Christ. He encourages us to be involved in what our kids do and who they spend time with, and to teach them the truths of the Church. |

Ed encourages us to open our hearts to the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. He talks with us about how the Lord Jesus is constantly presenting us with choices, and we must choose Him! Fr. Ed emphasizes that this choice, this faith in Christ, is especially important when He comes to us in the Blessed Sacrament. |
