At Upper Room's Praise & Worship on Friday, Sept. 18, 2015, Sr. Ann Shields gave a sobering, yet encouraging perspective on the times we are living in. She was introduced by Dr. Mary Healy, who also led a short time of prayer at the end in response to questions that Sr. Ann asked us to take to prayer. The booklet to which Sr. Ann refers, The Final Confrontation by Ralph Martin, is available at RenewalMinistries.net. This talk was given two months before the November terrorist attacks in Paris and Beirut.

The widows in the first reading and the Gospel put all their trust in God. We should learn from their examples, studying the Scriptures and the lives of the Saints, so that we, too, have the faith to trust Him.

The widows in the first reading and the Gospel put all their trust in God. So we can trust Jesus that our kids who have died see Him face to Face.

Ed Fride, Pastor, Christ the King Catholic Church. The Church reminds us through this feast to have a relationship with our brothers and sisters in glory. This feast also reminds us that we are all called to holiness, to be saints, and to live fully for Jesus.
