At Upper Room's Praise & Worship, Dr. Mary Healy spoke about the Biblical call to corporate worship and the unique graces of worshiping together. Her talk was followed by an extended time of praise before the Blessed Sacrament. Because of the nature of this topic, we've included the whole evening of Praise & Worship in this recording so you can worship along. If you would like to only hear the talk, listen from 4:23 - 27:42. Music was led by John Macari.

Homily given at the 8:45 a.m. Mass on Sunday, September 20, 2015, the 25th Sunday in Ordinary Time, by Fr. Ed Fride, Pastor, Christ the King Catholic Church. Fr. Ed notes that the pagan attack on Christians is an effort to see if the Christian commitment is real, searching to discredit the messenger of the Gospel. He says that if they can discredit Christians and the message that they bring, pagans then feel justified in going on with their lives without making any changes. Fr. Ed goes on to say that only the Holy Spirit can empower us to handle these attacks, and reminds us that we are called to handle them with grace. Fr. Ed emphasizes that grace from God is the only way that we are able live according to His word. |
