Homily given at the 9:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, December 9, 2018, the Second Sunday of Advent, by Fr. Ed Fride, Pastor, Christ the King Catholic Church.

The Triune God is faithful to give us everything we need, including our talents. We are called to be stewards of those talents. Our greatest talent is the ability He has given us to love, not just naturally, but supernaturally.

Note: The opening minute of the homily is missing. In that portion, Fr. Ed explained why St. Luke opens today's Gospel with a list of people who were in power at the time that John the Baptist started preaching. It served to confirm for the reader that these are historical realities.
