Homily given at the 5:30 p.m. Mass on Thursday, December 31, 2015, the Vigil of the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, by Dcn. Gerry Holowicki, Christ the King Catholic Church. Dcn. Gerry reminds us that God's love and goodness have been shown to us in the Incarnation. The Year of Mercy is a divine invitation for us to encounter God's mercy and goodness in a new way. Mary, the Mother of God and Mother of Mercy is ready to help us encounter God's mercy by her compassionate maternal intercession.
