Homily given at the 11:00am Mass on Sunday, June 25, 2017, by Dcn. Dan Foley, Christ the King Catholic Church. At this Mass, Christ the King celebrated the 16th anniversary of the dedication of its Church. Dcn. Dan spoke of the ongoing need to maintain, not only the physical structure, but also the spiritual structure of the parish. He suggested that a critical measure of the spiritual health of a parish is whether or not it's missional, if it's bringing people into a relationship with Jesus in the heart of the Church. He then spoke of Bishop Boyea's 2012 Pastoral letter and the bishop's call for us to reach out to the lost sheep and those in "the court of the Gentiles." Dcn. Dan then described plans to put the bishop's letter into effect at Christ the King through Alpha.
