Homily given at the 4:30 p.m. Mass on Saturday, June 9, 2018, the Vigil of the 10th Sunday in Ordinary Time, by Fr. Bill Spencer, retired priest of the Diocese of Saginaw, now in residence at Christ the King. Commenting on today's readings, Fr. Bill notes that Jesus brings us to a new understanding of family that is rooted in our relationship with Him. However, that relationship requires obedience to Him. When we turn from Him, He is quick to forgive if we repent and return to Him.
