Talk given on Friday, March 21, 2014, by Dr. Ralph Martin as part of Christ the King Catholic Church's 2014 Parish Mission, "Living as a Catholic in Challenging Times." In this, the fourth and final talk of the mission, Ralph first reviews what has been discussed so far. He then talks about how the New Evangelization requires a New Pentecost to empower the laity to go forth and preach the good news. (There was no question and answer session following this talk.)
Ralph Martin is Associate Professor of Theology and Director of Graduate Programs in the New Evangelization at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit. A well-known evangelist and long-time leader in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, Dr. Martin is President of Renewal Ministries and host of the long-running EWTN program, "The Choices We Face." He was appointed in December 2011 by Pope Benedict XVI to a five-year term as a Consultor to the Pontifical Council for the New Evangelization and served as an "expert" for the World Synod of Bishops on the New Evangelization.
