Homily given at the 9:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, November 10, 2019, the 32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time, by Fr. Joseph Khalil, OMM.

In today's first reading, the seven brothers and their mother responded courageously to the promise of God for life after death. That is contrasted with those in the Gospel who do not believe in the afterlife. Our life on earth has problems, but our faith in Jesus tells us that there is life after death and that our daily dying to ourselves prepares us for that life.
