Homily given at the 11:00 am Mass on Sunday, November 11, 2018, the 32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time, by Dcn. Dan Foley, Christ the King Catholic Church.

Considering today's Gospel, Dcn. Dan notes that praising the widow's donation of two cents doesn't seem to make sense until we consider the first reading of the widow of Zarephath. He then reflects on how the stories of these two widows can help us to understand the current crisis in the Church and the role of the laity in these times.

Keywords: trust, obedience, apostolate of the laity
