Third talk, given on Saturday , December 5, 2015, at the Christ the King 2015 Women's Retreat on "Thirsting for Prayer" by Fr. Jacques Philippe, a priest of the Community of the Beatitudes,an international association of the faithful of Pontifical Right, founded in France in 1973. During this session, Fr. Philippe continues to talk about prayer. He tells us that prayer transforms us, making us more gentle, loving, and merciful. We must not forget that God has first loved us! When we receive God's love, then we can love others. It's not something we can construct. We have to be determined to love God, but we have many limitations. So we much receive the love of God as well as give it. So, the most important act of prayer is to receive the love of God and never to doubt it. To simply welcome Him and His love, which will transform us. (Fr. Jacques gave the talks in French. They were translated into English by Sr. Maria of the Trinity.)
