Jul 14, 2015
Homily given at the 11:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday, July 5, 2015, the 14th Sunday in Ordinary Time, by Fr. Pat Egan, Christ the King Catholic Church. Fr. Pat emphasizes the importance of prayer, opening our hearts to God and placing our hopes and fears in His hands. He reminds us that Jesus knows rejection. When we pray to God and hand Him our fears, we do so to a God who knows our pain and wants to help us. Fr. Pat also discusses the recent Supreme Court decision about gay marriage. He reinforces Church teaching, emphasizing why we as Catholics believe what we do.
