First talk, given on Friday evening, December 4, 2015, at the Christ the King 2015 Women's Retreat on "Thirsting for Prayer" by Fr. Jacques Philippe, a priest of the Community of the Beatitudes,an international association of the faithful of Pontifical Right, founded in France in 1973. Fr. Philippe reminds us that in the gospel of John, Jesus started the Last Supper with, "Do not let your heart be troubled." "When we are at peace, we listen to Jesus. We need to ask for the grace of peace that comes from faith, that makes us free. The most important thing is not to find human answers, but to be at peace. When much is expected of us, it is absolutely indispensable to find our rest in the Heart of God; to become a little child resting in the Heart of God. Father tells us, "I want your prayers to become more deep and profound. When you go to bed, rest like a little girl on the Heart of the Father, sleeping in His arms, abandoning yourself into His arms." (Fr. Jacques gave the talks in French. They were translated into English by Sr. Maria of the Trinity.)
